California Christmas
I am looking forward to Christmas in California! I can hardly wait to wrap my arms around Michele, Eric, and my grandsons.
Amanda will be in Canada for Christmas and I will miss not seeing her. Hopefully she will find a four day weekend to fly into ABQ to visit me in the early spring. That’s a luxury of being single with no children!
Amanda is dating a fine, young Canadian named Daryl. Getting to know each other long distance has its pros and cons. On the one hand, they get to share meaningfully through letters – or, as modern times would have it…emailing. There’s a lot to be said for getting to know each other through writing. On the other hand, since they only have a few weeks vacation annually, and they live about a thousand miles away from each other, they don’t get a lot of time to actually “date.” Daryl visited California this summer and Amanda is visiting Canada during her winter break from teaching.
I thought about sending out Christmas cards this year but I had a run-in with the flu that really knocked me for a loop. In total, about six weeks worth. Needless to say, the window for timeliness came and went.
Merry Christmas to my friends and family none the less. I love you all and hope to see some of you over the holidays and others in the New Year.

Hi Susan; Merry Christmas to you and Michael. You recent posting is beautiful. Love you say hi to Mike for me. Larry says hi.
