Resurrection Day!

April 3, 2010

The resurrection gives my life meaning and direction and the opportunity to start over no matter what my circumstances.
~Robert Flatt

Happy Resurrection Day to all my beloved.  I miss our traditional sunrise service and Easter breakfast.  I am so happy that Michele and Eric are hosting one of their own; my heart literally aches to be there.  I am going to wake up early, go out on my deck, watch the sunrise, and celebrate my Lord’s resurrection all by myself.  Who knows, maybe Mike will join me!  In any case, I will be with the California crew in spirit and remembering all the joy that is ours in Christ.  Heartfelt salutations are pointed toward Kansas and a very Happy Easter blessing to my family in Connecticut – I miss each one of you!

Easter says you can put truth in a grave, but it won’t stay there.
~Clarence W. Hall

And he departed from our sight that we might return to our heart, and there find Him.  For He departed, and behold, He is here.
~St Augustine

Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and hallelujah is our song.
~Pope John Paul II

Every character has an inward spring; let Christ be that spring. Every action has a keynote; let Christ be that note, to which your whole life is attuned.
~Henry Drummond

Yippee!

March 3, 2010

I enjoy living in New Mexico.  I love the simplicity and how the environment is lending itself to my current season with the Lord.  It is a two-edged sword because I miss my family and friends deeply.  I don’t have too many friends, so those I have are cherished.  I am grateful that as my daughters became adults they also became two of my closest friends.  My voice may still provide input, but their voice now counsels my heart as well.

Mike and I are heading to California this month.  March is a good birthday month…Cole, Ethan, and me!  So we’re taking a drive and plan to drench ourselves in the company of those we love – family and friends alike.  I look forward to being with everyone.

Short, but Sweet

February 16, 2010

Amanda and Doreen came to visit for the weekend.  I am grateful for the time we had together.  Little pockets of fellowship time, relaxation, and reading good books while sitting in great company!

The time away from the computer was priceless, although I have been working on a tutorial that is teaching me some pretty fun stuff in that department.  The appearance of my little blogging site will probably always be changing.  It is a place for me to express myself – but it is also a place for me to hone my Photoshop skills!

I forgot to take pictures!  Oh well, next time.  For now, I will close my eyes and remember the faces of those I love!
